Create a video message in support of eliminating the sale of ALL flavored tobacco.

We trying to eliminate the sale of menthol and flavored tobacco because:

• Menthol and flavored tobacco products have been aggressively marketed to youth and communities of color.
• Menthol and flavors mask the harshness of tobacco and entice kids.
• More than a quarter of Vermont high school students vape.
• The majority of youth who vape started with flavored tobacco.
• 85% of black smokers use menthol and 7 out of 10 black youth who smoke use menthol.
• Menthol makes it easier to smoke and harder to quit.
• Addiction to tobacco and nicotine increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, and other chronic illnesses, can worsen depression and anxiety, and can lead to early death.
• The cost to treat tobacco-caused diseases in Vermont has increased by $56 million to a whopping $404 million annually.

It’s time to say enough. Enough disease. Enough addiction. Enough Death.  Eliminate the sale of menthol and flavored tobacco.
